Gauntlet

Gauntlet turns a group of friends into both the players and the designers. The host sets the route; player-made games, powers, challenges, and a live score do the rest.

What it is
The day belongs to the people playing it.
Before Gauntlet, every player creates two short games. A game might be a ridiculous relay, a tiny tournament, a drawing contest, or a test of nerve. The host arranges those submissions into a route through parks, tables, and other shared places.
During the day, players earn points, draw penalties, form temporary teams, and use individual Gauntlet powers to challenge one another. The software handles submissions, assignments, and the changing score so the host can stay part of the game.
The first Gauntlet ran in 2017 with a small signup and game-creation site. A 2018 edition added a live leaderboard. It returned in 2026, and that playtest now informs a reusable portal for other hosts.

Players create
Each person submits two short games with clear rules, scoring, timing, and anything the group needs to bring.

The host reviews submissions, plans the route, prepares the game order, and invites the group.

Games, challenges, teams, penalties, and live scores turn the plan into a day nobody could have scripted alone.
Create part of the day, discover everyone else's games as they happen, and make choices that change the live score.
Gauntlet is for known groups and attentive hosts. Public rules will include safety, accessibility, venue, and non-alcoholic participation guidance.
Where it stands
The 2026 game is becoming a host-ready portal.
The next version is focused on invitations, player registration, game submissions, host setup, and live game-day tools. Public access is not open yet.
